Huh?
It appears that mythicaldude has been nominated for Best Asian Photo Blog by Asia Blog Awards. No one actually notified me, I just sort of stumbled upon the posting out there.
We don’t really know who the Asia Blog Awards are, but they do seem to be using WordPress.
The good folks over at Asia Pundit had their own Best SE Asian Blog thing awhile back and the PhotoBloggies had their own Best South East Asian Photoblog Award as well. The winner there was Shutterbug.
In any event the dude is surely honored, humbled and surprised. It figures that this would happen just as I leave Asia for a few months to visit my family here in America.
Just because I am physically in America doesn’t mean that my blog is not Asian Of course its Asian, just look at the postings for the past two years starting just a bit over 2 weeks ago, before I came to Detroit. I have been eating as much Asian food as I can here. Honestly. I can’t wait to get back to Cambodia, ask anyone who knows me. You cantake the dude out of Asia (for awhile anyhow), but you just can’t take Asia out of the dude!
Don’t forget the auxiliary photoblog I maintain over at www.mythicaldude.net which is still very much Asian because I batch load the photos a month or two in advance. Sneaky.
I find it hard to beleive that www.Khmer440.com has not been nominated for Best Asian Group Blog. I hereby nominate it/them. But a look at the panel of judges’ blogs indicates that high-quality participants are somehow involved. Cool.
