this new photoblog blog replaces my former photoblog and was launched on january 20th, 2010. etc.

Mythicaldude is also known as Steve Goodman.

I am an American ex-pat living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where I work as a professional photographer, guitar player, volunteer, and maladjusted misfit.

I refuse to define myself in conventional terms and I resist conforming to many common standards or conventions. I have been described as being “difficult, challenging and complex” and I grudgingly admit that this is a reasonably accurate, yet incomplete, description.

I tend to think for myself I suggest that you do the same.

I try to conduct myself in an honorable fashion, which includes being kind, questioning authority, making complaints and looking out for ways to break the dominant paradigms and explore new spaces. Look, there’s a signpost up ahead.

I earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Philosophy and English Literature and worked for many years as a software and Internet company executive in San Francisco.

Since 2002 I’ve lived, traveled and photographed extensively in Southeast Asia. I’ve resided in Phnom Penh, Cambodia since 2005.

I have traveled exotograhpy tensively in the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Nepal and India.

My photographs fall into a variety of categories: portraits, street photography, social documentary, photojournalism, urban landscape, portraits and fine art, as well as editorial, advertising and commercial work. I take what work comes my way and otherwise pursue indepedent photography projects
